Thelma Kathryn Milam Willingham, 80, of Ruleville, MS, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home. Graveside services will be follow at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Lehrton Cemetery. Interment will be in Lehrton Cemetery.
Thelma was born on December 15, 1937, to Spencer and Thelma Milam in Phillip, MS. In September of 1954, she married Charles Herbert Willingham, Sr. in Ruleville, MS. She worked at Baxter for 30 years before retiring. Thelma was a talented artist. She loved to paint, crochet, and do ceremics; she would even make a ceremic Santa Clause for her family every Christmas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Willingham, Sr.; parents, S.L. "Bud" and Thelma Milam; brother, Lamar Milam; and son-in-law, Buster Cummins.
Thelma is survived by her children, Charles Willingham, Jr. (Cindy) of Birmingham, AL and Kathryn "Kathy" Cummins of Ruleville, MS; grandchildren, Kelly Cummins Latham (Bryant) of Antioch, TN, Charles "Chuck" Willingham, III (Susan) of Tupelo, MS, Matthew Parker Cummins (Jennifer) of Rena Lara, MS, and Carmon Willingham Miller (Josh) of Calhoun City, MS; great grandchildren, Natalie Willingham, Sarah Kathryn Willingham, Charlie Beth Willingham, Parker Cummins, Ford Cummins, Clay Miller, and Slade Austin Miller; and siblings, Betty Ann Milam of Columbus, MS and Brenda Williams (Danny) of Aliceville, AL.
Pallbearers will be Dale Kimbrell, Charles Jones, Chuck Willingham, Matt Cummins, Bryant Latham, and Josh Miller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Haney, Wayne Bowen, and Pete Walker.
In memory of Thelma, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimers Association.
