Alvie Nell Fortenberry

Mrs. Alvie Nell Fortenbery, 87, of Collierville, TN, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, at Collierville Baptist Hospital.  Visitation will be 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.  Monday, June 4, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home.  Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Moore officiating.  Interment will be in Drew Cemetery.
Mrs. Fortenberry was born on February 26, 1931, to Alvie Wood and Hattie Jones Wood.  She worked in the medical field as a nurse for 18 years. 
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Hattie Wood; first husband, Bobby West; second husband, W.Y. Fortenberry; and sisters, Bertha Rice and Oma Bates.
Mrs. Fortenberry is survived by daughters, Marcia Moore (Jack) of Eads, TN, and Sheila Clark (Steve) of Cleveland; son, Bruce West (Gwendolyn) of Hollandale; grandchildrem, Allyson Curlin (Pete) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Micah Moore (Kelly) of Oakland, TN, Carly Clark, of Denver, CO, Cara Clark of Birmingham, AL, Marlee Kate Miller (Kennedy) of Jackson, MS, and Bailey West (Leah) of Madison, MS; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Dwight Wood (Judy) of Greenwood, MS, and Charles Wood (Janice) of Mena, AR; and sisters, Geraldine McNeer of Harmontown, MS, and Shirley Muscio of Anchorage, AK.
Pallbearers will be Micah Moore, Bailey West, Kennedy Miller, Mike Dill, Quinn Murry, Ray West, Randy Gray, and David Dill.
