Alysia Cordelia Jones

Alysia Cordelia "Snookie" Jones, 82, of Kenton, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Visitation 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow with Brother David Horton officiating.
Snookie was born March 26, 1937, to John and Ida Kittrell in Linn, MS. On February 24, 1956, she married Gene Jones, Sr. in Linn, MS. She was an active and faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Dyer. Snookie was known by all to be loving and caring. She was also known for helping in the nursing homes, sewing, quilting, and making dolls for missions.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida Kittrell; son, Timothy Jones; brother, Allen Kittrell; and sister, Kathryn "Kat" Morgan.
Snookie is survived by her husband, Gene Paul Jones, Sr.; son, Gene Jones, Jr.; daughters, Kim Gandee (Patrick) of TX, Angie Muirhead (Ricky) of TN, and Bonnie Jones of TX; siblings, Jessie Dean Grant of Ruleville, Johnny Frances Sheffield (Allen) of TN, Anna Earls (Ellis) of Cleveland, and Jimmie Kitrell (Mary Helen) of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Perry Morgan; sister-in-law, Mary Kathryn Kittrell; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
