Ann Bishop Atkinson

On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, Ann Bishop Atkinson, passed away at the age of 86. Ann was born on March 20, 1933, in Drew, Mississippi, to Eugene and Cora (Maxwell) Bishop. She graduated from Cosmetology School in 1964 and worked as a hairdresser for 35 years.
After decades and a life apart, she was reunited with the love of her life, Thomas Ray Atkinson, and they married on October 12, 1990, in Southaven, Mississippi. She loved his daughter Paula and her husband Paul Webb. She was a wonderful, loving grandmother to their children, Austin Brown and Emma Webb.
Ann's greatest service of her life was the constant love and devotion she expressed to her family. As one of eleven children, she was blessed with many, many nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and nephews. She made each and every one of them feel like her favorite.
Ann was an independent woman with strong beliefs and opinions, and she encouraged all of the women in her family to live that way as well. She was a dedicated, lifetime follower of Jesus Christ. She was always eager to help others and loved to travel.
Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother, eight of her ten siblings, and her beloved husband Tom. She is survived by her sister, Bobbie McClelland; her stepdaughter and son-in-law Paula and Paul Webb; her grandchildren Austin Brown and Emma Webb; and an overwhelming chorus of adoring nieces and nephews.
