Mrs. Ann Wilson White Dorrough, 83, of Ruleville, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Shelby Nursing and Rehab. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Lehrton Cemetery with Rev. Cheryl Farr officiating.
Mrs. Dorrough was born in on February 18, 1934, to Robert Allen White and Kate Alvis Wilson White in Mississippi. On April 2, 1953, she married Earnest Laughter Dorrough in Ruleville, MS, and they were active members of Ruleville United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader who loved all books, and she enjoyed being a military wife and being able to travel. She was also a very thoughtful person who loved giving gifts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Allen White and Kate Alvis Wilson White; husband, Earnest Laughter Dorrough; sister, Jane White; and sister-in-law, DeLores Dorrough.
Mrs. Dorrough is survived by her daughters, Louann Dorrough of Winchester, VA, and Kate D. Bailey (Scott) of Terry, MS; son, Robert Allen Dorrough of Osaka, Japan; grandchildren, Christopher Allen Dorrough, Austin Clayton Bailey, and Emma Grace Bailey; great-grandchild, Akina Tani; brother-in-law, Doc Dorrough of Ruleville, MS; and nephews, Charles Marlow Dorrough (Allenda) of Oxford, MS, and John Robert Dorrough of Ruleville, MS.
