Anna Frances (Wilson) Sanders

Anna Frances (Wilson) Sanders, born on January 7, 1945, in Cleveland, MS, departed from this world on January 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting those around her. As a LPN for over 50 years, Frances played a pivotal role in the lives of countless families, especially in her beloved community.

Visitation will take place on January 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS, followed by a Celebration of Life from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Old Cleveland Cemetery, starting at 12:45 PM.

Frances’ spirit was as bright as her kindness was deep. She had an innate ability to nurture and comfort, always welcoming friends and family with a pot of coffee and warm muffins. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and the aromas of her cooking, reflecting her caring and loving personality. Frances was very Godly and her faith shone through in all aspects of her life. Beyond her professional achievements, which included being a proud graduate of Cleveland High School and earning her LPN license, Frances worked with Dr. Jim Adams for many years before retiring from her nursing career from the Delta State University infirmary. Frances cherished hobbies that brought her joy; a passionate gardener, she could often be found nurturing her plants or hosting friends and family for coffee or a meal. Her love for travel took her to places like Germany, which she explored in the only way she knew how—First Class. Frances will always be remembered by her deep commitment to her family, her infectious laughter, and her boundless love that will continue to inspire everyone she touched.

A well-respected nurse, she never met a stranger and often invited others into her home for food and fellowship. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren.

Frances’ is survived by her daughter Angie (Chris) Corbin and grandson Jacob Campbell; son MAJ Michael (Tatianna) Sanders, grandchildren William and Anna Victoria Sanders, (children of Rebekka); as well as Ana-Maria Sanders, (child of Tatianna). Her brother George Taylor Wilson and her sister Dianne (MSGT Larry) Campbell also carry forward her legacy, alongside a host of loving nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear to their hearts.

She is preceded in passing her parents, George Alaska Wilson & Beatrice Mullen Wilson, brothers, Clyde & Johnny Wilson.

Frances will be remembered not just for her contributions to her profession but for the love and warmth she poured into every moment spent with those she adored. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who had the privilege to know her.

A special “Thank you” to the care givers, who helped and loved Frances throughout this process, Linda Fairs, Tina Clayton, Linda Curb. And to her care team at Heart of Hospice Taylor, Christie, and Janice.

Special Words from Anna,

My children have given me many blessings; my sister and brothers have always been there for me. I want to thank my parents, aunt, uncle, for the way I was raised.
