Barbara Ann Jones Turner

Ms. Barbara Ann Jones Turner, 70, of Sunflower, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at her home. 
Barbara was born November 9, 1947, in Shaw, MS, to Amzie Alvin Jones and Vernell Purvis Jones.  Throughout her life, she worked diligently as an Insurance sales agent for numerous companies. After forty years in sales, she decided to retire and spend her time in the town she loved surrounded by her friends and neighbors. She greatly enjoyed going to the beach, painting, dancing and having a good time, gardening and caring for her flowers, and taking in every moment of life in the Delta. More than anything, she loved her family especially her granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Amzie and Vernell Jones; and brother, Stanley Alvin Jones.
Barbara is survived by her son, Joseph Tate Turner of Ridgeland; granddaughters, Brianna Blanton (Zachary), Courtney Turner, and Lexi Turner all of Ridgeland; great-granddaughter, Zelda Blanton of Ridgeland; and sister-in-law, Pam Jones of Linn.
The family of Mrs. Turner would also like to send out a special thanks to Bill and Karen Rose for all the love, care and friendship they provided to her and her family over the years.
