Billy Smith

Billy Smith, 81 of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2024. 

A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10am to 11am. A Celebration of Life will be at 11am at Southside Baptist Church in Benoit, MS. Graveside service to follow at Beulah Cemetery.

Billy Smith was born on September 20, 1942 to Roy and Dorothy Smith. Billy married Linda McDaniel on January 25, 1975. They had one child, Jennifer Lynn Smith. He was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Benoit, MS. 

Billy farmed all his life until he retired. His hobbies included gardening and building things in his backyard. He always said "that's where I talk to God". 

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Dorothy Smith and three sisters, Linda (Earl) Johnson, Carol (Dub) Dees and Darlene Smith. 

Billy is survived by his wife, Linda of 49 years and daughter, Jennifer Lynn Smith. His sisters Hazel Smith of Benoit, MS, Nan Williamson (Bobby N) of Benoit, MS and Kathy Easterling (Danny) of Greenville, MS, Brothers Bobby Smith of Benoit, MS and Roy Smith (Patricia) of St. Charles, Missouri and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers are Brian Williamson, Chris Snipes, Hubbard Stephens, Mike Dees, William Dees, Kenny Dees and Justin Smith.
