Carol Sue McMillan

Carol Sue McMillan passed away on April 11, 2026.

She was born to Charles and Betty Kirksey on May 13, 1956, in Hollandale, Mississippi. Carol was a dedicated and a passionate woman. She had a dedication to family and had a strong work ethic. Carol devoted 21 years to Walmart, serving as a Department Manager where she was known for excellence and leadership. Outside of her career, Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for gardening and nature. Carol’s affection extended to her beloved fur babies, Zola, Bandit, and Sassy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Kirksey, her son, Kenneth Shane McMillan, Donald Klemme, Blake Klemme, and Larry Kirksey. Their memories live on in her heart and the hearts of those who loved her.

She is survived by her son Sterling McMillian, his wife Margie, who shared in her joy and supported her throughout the years. She also is survived by her sisters Darlene McCain and her husband David, Diane Jordan, her brother Chuck Kirksey, and a host of nieces and nephews that filled her with joy.

These close family ties were a source of strength and happiness for her. Carol Sue McMillan will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her dedication to family and work, and her warm presence that touched all who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, devotion, and kindness that will endure in the lives of her family and friends.
