Carolyn Nichols Satterfield, loving wife and devoted mother, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024.
Visitation will be held February 5, 2024, at Ray Funeral Home from 11 am to 12 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 12 pm.
Born in 1946, in Enon, Chickasaw County, Mississippi, to William H. and Ruby R. Nichols, Carolyn came to know her savior Jesus at a young age and soon began serving as a pianist in McCondy Baptist church. She later served as a missionary in Kentucky and Montana, and after finishing her degree at Delta State University she married Warren Satterfield in 1968. She then dedicated her life's work to shaping young minds as an exceptional teacher, loving mother and grandmother.
She continued to serve her Lord Jesus as a leader in her church and her community. Most importantly she shared the love of Christ and lived out her faith in service to others through music, leadership, and hospitality with a welcoming spirit and a kind heart.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Warren Satterfield; daughter, Cynthia Lyn (Keith) Monk; son, William Satterfield; sister, Ruth Johnson; and grandchildren Aidanne Monk and Eli Monk, many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations in honor of Carolyn to:
Benoit Union Church, Preston Street, Benoit, MS 38725, or Shepherd's Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951.
