Charles Moore
Charles Hayse Moore VI, was called home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2019. A visitation honoring Charles will be held from 1-2 P.M. at Ray Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service at 2PM in Ray Funeral Home. Brother Bob Hill officiating. Graveside will be in the North Cleveland Cemetery on Tuesday following the Service.
Charles was born on January 4, 1933 in Hammond, OK. After graduating highschool he joined the Army to bravely serve our country with the 25th infantry during the Korean War. After serving in the military Charles came home and married the love of his life Lucile Ferri Moore on August 27, 1955. Charles went back to school and received a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Mississippi State University. Charles then joined NASA for over 10 years as a design engineer on the Saturn V rocket for the Apollo program. Most of all Charles was a loving father, and husband who loved spending time with his family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents. Charles Hayse Moore V and Gertrude Marie Moore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mrs. Lucile Ferri Moore of Cleveland, MS, three sons, C. Hayse Moore VII of Cleveland, MS., Raymond Clinton Moore and his wife Sheila Rizzo Moore of Baton Rouge, LA., Mark Anthony Moore and his wife Tonette Durastanti Moore of Slidell, LA., seven grandchildren, Mindy Kramer and husband Shawn of Louisiana, Jennifer Schmolke and husband Brandt of Louisiana, Justin Moore and wife Jamie of Louisiana, Lacey Moore of Mississippi, Jessica Moore of Louisiana, Matthew Moore of Texas, and Genna Claire Moore of Mississippi., seven great grandchildren, Addison, Gavin, Mikayla, Lawrence, Landon, Alexander, Darla Ann.
