Charles Thomas Richardson, Sr., 78, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Delta Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, with Bro. Larry Weaver sharing words of encouragement..
Charles was born on July 12, 1941, to Thomas and Bertie Richardson in Shaw, MS but was raised by Ernest Wilkes. On February, 16, 1962, he married Linda Sue Sanders in Cleveland. Charles graduated from the police academy in 1966, and worked as a police officer for 11 years and a truck driver for 23 years before retiring. His hobby was his family. He loved spending time with them and sharing those precious memories they hold dearly.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, Thomas Richardson; and parents, Ernest and Bertie Wilkes; and wife, Linda Sue Sanders.
Charles is survived by his children, Lane Richardson Parker of Cape Girardeau, MO, Stacy Ezell (Mark) of West Memphis, AR, Chuck Richardson (Kim) of Arlington, TN, and Suzy Little (Mike) of Boyle, MS; grandchildren, Anne Marie Parker- Brown (William) of Cleveland, MS, Chaz Richardson (Lindsey) of Virginia Beach, VA, Miranda Bryant (Johnny) of Charleston, MS, Kolby Little of Boyle, MS, and Daniel and Grace Richardson of Arlington, TN; and great grandchildren, Charles Gardner Parker of Cleveland, MS, Koralie & Upton Bryant of Charleston, MS, Waelyn Bullock of Boyle, MS, and Lily Richardson of Virginia Beach, VA.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
