Cynthia Borgognoni Cocilova

Cynthia Borgognoni Cocilova, 61, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home in Shaw, MS. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary following at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victories on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m with Father Kent officiating. Interment will be at the New Cleveland Cemetery. Cynthia was born on December 24, 1959 in Clarksdale, MS to Reno Borgognoni and Lillian Sbravati Borgognoni. She married Douglas Joseph Cocilova on July 7, 1979. She graduated from Clarksdale High School and she went on to Delta State University where she graduated with her Bachelors of Business Administration. She worked at Cleveland School District for 21 years, where she retired as the Business Manager in 2020. She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Church and was an active member of Relay for Life. She was a beloved wife, mother, "Nonna", sister, and friend. She loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reno and Lillian Borgognoni. She is survived by her loving husband, Doug Cocilova; sons, Stephen Cocilova (Amanda) and Andrew Cocilova (Ashley); grandchildren, Kathryn Ellis Cocilova, Kaylee Cocilova, Daylon Cocilova, and Beck Cocilova; and siblings, Deborah Barfield (Danny), Brenda Robinson (Mike), Reno Mark Borgognoni (Donna), and Jerry Borgognoni (Jamie). Pallbearers for this service will be Daniel Barfield, Jerry Alan Borgognoni, Mark Borgognoni, Nick Cocilova, Brent Robinson, and Jonathan Storey. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Barfrield, Michael Lee Robinson, and Samuel Storey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church building fund - 215 Bishop Rd. Cleveland, MS 38732.
