Cynthia A Serio

Cynthia Serio, peacefully passed away on November 15, 2023, in Cleveland, MS, a town she loved. A Mass to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held on November 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shelby, MS. Prior to the service, visitation will take place from 10 to 11 am at the church. We invite all who wish to pay their respects and honor Cynthia’s life to join us for these ceremonies.

Born on March 14, 1948, Cynthia was 75 years old at the time of her passing. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and her unwavering spirit cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cynthia was born and raised in Shelby, MS, where she cultivated a strong sense of community throughout the Delta. She was proud to call Mississippi home throughout her entire life. After completing her education at Shelby High School with a High School Diploma, Cynthia embarked on a successful career as an Administrative Assistant in the monument sales industry. Her work was invaluable to the company she served and allowed her to form lasting relationships with her colleagues.

Cynthia’s passing will be mourned by her niece, Allison Freeman of Shelby, MS: nephews, Shawn and Tyler Freeman of Shelby, MS; sister in Christ, Mary Jean Pendleton of Shelby, MS; granddaughter in Christ, Mindy Belk (Eli) of Boyle, MS; and grandchildren in Christ Cam and Lori Marie Belk of Boyle, MS. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
