Dianne McAfee, a devoted medical technologist and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in Cleveland, Mississippi. A Visitation with a Memorial Service to follow will be held on September 13, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Chapel in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Dianne was born on August 17, 1945, in Greenville, Mississippi, to Lewis Dixon & Cammie Morgan Poe. Dianne's life was marked by a profound love for her family and a steadfast dedication to helping others.

Dianne graduated from Cleveland High School in 1963 and continued her education at Delta State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1967. Following her education, she devoted her career to serving the community as a medical technologist at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN. Her work in the healthcare field was not merely a job; it was a calling that allowed her to touch the lives of countless individuals, providing care and support during their times of need.

Dianne was known for her warm personality and her unwavering commitment to her family. She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Tommy Poe, Terrie (Randall) Hodges, Rusty (Lura) Poe, Charles (Terri Lynn) Brewer, Terry Brewer, Mylinda (David) Tedford, and abundance of great nephews and nieces and a longtime friend which she called Sissy Jules Brannon and a cousin that remained close to her Larry and Shirley Poe who will all cherish the time spent with Dianne and will carry forward her legacy of compassion and kindness.

Dianne is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lewis Dixon Poe and Cammie Morgan Poe, her husband, William Richard "Bill" McAfee, her brothers Oscar Poe (Nina), and her sister Bettie Gordon. Each of them played an integral role in her life, and their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Dianne McAfee will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but for the warmth and love she extended to everyone around her. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
