Donald Davis

Donald Maurice Davis (Don) passed away on July 15, 2025, in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Don was born September 9, 1939, in Yazoo City, MS to Martin and Ella Beard Davis. Don led a life rich in love, accomplishment, and service to others. He graduated from Indianola High School and attended Mississippi State University. Don married Barbara Junkin in January 1965.

Don’s passion for learning and hard work guided him through life. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, embodying the values of duty and service that remained central to his character.

Don enjoyed golfing and family reunions. He loved watching football and was a dedicated fan of the Mississippi State University Bulldogs.

He leaves behind a legacy marked by his dedication to his family and a successful career as the owner of A&L Bolts & Screws. His work as a salesperson and business owner further exemplified his commitment to serving others and building connections in the community.

Don is predeceased by his parents, Martin and Ella Davis; wife, Barbara Junkin Davis; son, Brian Davis, and siblings; Bill Davis, Edwin Davis, and Ethelyn Delery.

Don’s love for his family was profound. He is survived by his son, Martin Davis, granddaughter; Olivia Davis, and great-grandson; Rowan Mayham. He cherished the moments spent with his granddaughter and took immense pride in his great-grandson. He was also a beloved uncle to multiple nieces and nephews and was a favorite cousin to many.
