Dorothy "Dot" Lee Tarver

Dorothy Lee “Dot” Tarver, 84, of Cleveland went to be with the Lord Monday, October 17, 2022.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.  Graveside Service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the North Cleveland Cemetery.

Dot was born November 27, 1937, to Ira and Beatrice “Bea” Stewart in Mississippi.  She married Carl Bryant Tarver October 11, 1954, in Skene, MS.  She was a nurse for 38 years.  Dot enjoyed sewing, crocheting.  She loved spending time with the church ladies of Calvary Baptist Church.  Dot was a prayer warrior who was a caring person but especially toward her grandchildren who she loved and adored dearly. 

She is preceded by her parents, Ira and Bea Stewart, her loving husband, Carl Tarver.

Dot is survived by her daughters, Crystal Tarver Vint (Bill) and Cindy Tarver Steele (Steve); grandchildren, Cassie Bailey, Jami Blaylock, Stephanie Jenkins (Jonathan), and Bryant Steele; great grandchildren, P.J. Dehart, Jonathan Blaylock (Veronica), Alexis Henderson, Jayci Blaylock, Carlee Jenkins, Amelia  Jenkins, and Jackson Jenkins; great greatgrandchildren, Luna Blaylock, Nora and Violet; sister, Grace McMurry; brother, Jack Stewart; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
