Edith M. Richardson

Mrs. Edith Smith Richardson, 87, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Cleveland Church of God. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Cleveland Church of God with Rev. A.D. Gammil officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson was born in Palestine, AR, on October 19, 1929, to Charles Smith and Mamie Wooten Smith. On October 19, 1947, she married Everette G. "Rich" Richardson. She worked full time for 13 years as an LPN at Bolivar Medical Center, and retired in 1984 to care for her husband. She enjoyed her time with him greatly. Mrs. Richardson loved taking care of others and showed this by caring for her mother, deeply loving her family, and finding joy in nursing. She also enjoyed nature and could be found watching birds, looking at flowers, or spending time in her garden. As a woman of deep faith, she was a member of Cleveland Church of God and taught Sunday School for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Smith and Mamie Smith Needham; husband, Everette G. "Rich" Richardson; great-granddaughter, Kylee Richardson; and her siblings. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her children, Larry Richardson (Libby) of Concord, NC, Sandra Walker of Brandon, Debbie Pambianchi (Steve) of Cleveland, and Kathy Dill (David) of Laurel; grandchildren, Eugene Richardson (Sharon), Bobby Richardson (Kim), Shane Richardson (Jeanna), Chuck Lauderdale (Cheryl), Dustin Pambianchi (Lee), Gina Pambianchi, Stacey West (Josh), and Brian Dill (Nikki); 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eugene Richardson, Shane Richardson, Bobby Richardson, Dustin Pambianchi, Chuck Lauderdale, and Brian Dill.
