Eleanor Mae Jones, 90, went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2022, in Cleveland, MS. Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Benoit Union Baptist Church in Benoit, MS. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. Eleanor Jones was born on September 15, 1931 in Albia, IA, to Ray and Eva Andrews. She married Keith Richard Jones on August 16, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a graduate of University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's degree in Education and was an elementary school for 25 years. As a member of the Benoit Union Church, she played the piano and sang in the choir. Eleanor loved to bake and her specialties included homemade cherry pie, candies, and wedding mints. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading, playing piano, and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents Ray & Eva Andrews; son-in-law, Richie Blocker Eleanor is survived by daughters, Margaret Jones Blocker of Benoit, MS, Beth Jones Wiggins (Scott) of Opelika, AL, and Kathie Jones Glaze (Jack) of Madison, MS; sons, Stan K Jones (Dianne) of Cleveland, MS and Daniel M Jones (Allie) of Manchester, TX; along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
