Elizabeth Ann Seymore Barnes Durastanti

Elizabeth Ann Seymore Barnes Durastanti, 82, of Shaw, MS, passed away on January 8, 2018, at her home in Shaw. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Holtz and Rev. Charles Young officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born on April 27, 1935, to Harvey Daniel Seymore and Lillie Mae Crowe Seymore in Shaw, MS. She spent her time watching gospel shows on the television, reading a good book, or traveling to enjoy a museum. Many years ago, she wrote songs for a recording studio. Elizabeth had a love for music, literature, and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Seymore and Lillie Mae Seymore; both her husbands, Robert Barnes, Jr. and Albert Durastanti; children, Leslie Barnes Reynolds, John Michael Barnes, Beverly Barnes Smith, Serina Durastanti Fioranelli, and Loretta Durastanti Harrell; grandchildren, Gary Edward Wells, Jr. and Ronald Joseph "Ron" Durastanti, Jr.; and brother, Gary Wayne Seymore, Sr..
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Robin Campbell of Shaw, MS and Joe Durastanti of Madison, MS and Elizabeth Renee Barnes Sayre; grandchildren, Brandi Gianini Frazier, Candice Campbell, Phillip Daniel Gianini, John Gianini, Melissa Reynolds, Jessica Barnes Gaston, Paul Fioranelli, and Chandler Harrell; sisters, Ruth McCullough of Hederson, TN, and Joyce Robertson and Sandra Morris both of Pearl; and numerous great-grand children, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
