It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eudene Vick Noblett, beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 87.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. A second visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11:00 p.m.
Eudene V. Noblett, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 11, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on March 10, 1938, in Shaw, Mississippi, Eudene filled her life with love, kindness, and quiet strength, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Eudene was a proud graduate of Shaw High School, where her vivacity shone through in numerous beauty pageants. After completing her education, she dedicated her career to public service as a Chancery Clerk in Bolivar County, exemplifying her commitment to her community. Everyone in Cleveland knew her as “Queen Eudene or Great Dene”. While her professional life was rewarding, her deepest passion lay in nurturing and supporting her family. After her husband’s military service came to an end. Her next journey took her to various places across the country including California and Georgia with her husband’s job as her family settled in various places. Eventually, they planted roots in Virginia, where Eudene continued to foster a loving environment for her children. Known as a social butterfly, Eudene cherished connecting with others and had an unwavering ability to empathize with people from all walks of life. Her selflessness and non-judgmental nature made her a source of comfort and inspiration to many. Above all, Eudene embodied God's love, making a profound impact on everyone she met. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Cleveland, MS
Eudene was preceded in passing by her parents, Grady Lee & Johnnie Elizabeth Vick her children, Robert “Bobby” Gerald Noblett, and Jamie Noblett Nelson, her siblings, Franklin “Frank” Vick, Harvey Vick, and Danny Vick, two grandchildren, Harold Gardner Jr. and Nathan Nelson Jr., her future grandson in law, Bryan Martin.
Eudene is survived by her beloved daughter, Amie (Harold) Gardner of Henrico, VA, one brother, Wayne (Lynn) Vick of Cleveland, MS., eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Dustin) Siekierka, Robert “Bobby” (Nicole) Pearson, Jenni Lynn (Aaron) Pratt, Amanda Harris, Nicholas (Krystal) Nelson, and Jasmine (Kevin) Overwise, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to pay it forward with love and kindness in those in need.
