Evelyn Elmore
Evelyn Elmore, 94, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on November 23, 2018, at Indywood Estate in Cleveland, MS. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018, at St. Luke United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Speegle officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Evelyn was born in Crockett County, TN, on November 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Henry Patrick Nearn and Estelle Nearn Climer. She married James Elmore in May of 1942. Evelyn spent her entire years being a loyal wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Duncan Methodist Church for many years before moving to Cleveland where she joined St. Luke United Methodist Church. While in Duncan, she was an active member teaching Sunday School, Bible School and serving on many other committees. Evelyn was a dedicated servant to the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Elmore; parents, Henry Patrick Nearn and Estelle Nearn Climer; and sisters, Ann Jackson and Rubye Garrett.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Pat Elmore Warrington (Paul) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Wes Warrington (Mary Ann), Jim Warrington, and Josh Warrington; great grandchildren, Kelsey Warrington Garner (Taylor), Keri Warrington Berger (Cody), Ely Warrington, Samantha Warrington, Kingsley Warrington, Wesley Anne Warrington, Jack Warrington, Zack Warrington, Knox Warrington; great great grandchildren, Emma Wesley Garner and Maverick James Berger; two special nieces, Bitsy Ballard and Charlotte Patton; and several other nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to her friends and her caretakers at Indywood and Hospice.
