Born Gloria Jean Bramuchi, Jeanie was a woman defined by her selfless nature, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith. She was the oldest of 23 grandchildren out of the entire Bramuchi family tree. She dedicated 20 years of her life to the education system, serving as a teacher and aide. Her impact on the lives of young children was profound, as she guided them with the same kindness and patience she showed everyone she met.
Though she was married for nearly 35 years, Jeanie lived her final 25 years independently, filling her days with the things that brought her genuine joy. She was an avid traveler, with fond memories of trips to the Grand Canyon, Italy, Niagara Falls, Branson, Tombstone, Western Film Festivals, and Wyoming. A loyal sports fan, she could often be found cheering on the Atlanta Braves or her beloved MSU football team. At home, she found peace in her garden, challenge in her daily crossword puzzles, and comfort in watching classic Westerns.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Jeanie was a dedicated member of her church and spent much of her free time volunteering at local schools, always looking for ways to care for others. To her family, she was an example of a loving and sweet mother, sister, and friend.
Jeanie is survived by her two sons, David Pogue (53) and Steven Pogue (52) along with his wife, April. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Bramuchi, and her brother, Ned Bramuchi. Her "granddogs"-Scottish Terriers Parker, Peaches, and Paddy-will also miss her gentle presence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Shelby Cemetery P.O.Box 539 Shelby, MS 38774, or St. Mary's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 287 Shelby, MS 38774.
