Helen Kathryn 'Kat' Morgan

Helen Kathryn "Kat" Kittrell Morgan, 70, of Drew, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Jackson on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. James McNally officiating. Kat, as she was known to many, was born in Cleveland, MS on December 17, 1944, to John E. Kittrell and Ida Ussery Kittrell. On October 23, 1964, she married Perry Ellis Morgan in Doddsville, MS. She worked for 15 years as a Department Manager at Kroger. She was a people person who loved talking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and she greatly enjoyed gospel singings and fellowship.
Mrs. Morgan is preceded in death by her parents, John E. Kittrell and Ida Ussery Kittrell; and her brother, William Allen Kittrell. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Perry Morgan of Drew; daughter, Denise Morgan (Michael Arnold) of Cleveland; son, Perry "Chip" Morgan (Karen) of Olive Branch; grandchildren, Ashley Cocilova (Andrew) of Brandon, Nicole Lusk and Justice Lusk both of Cleveland, Perry Ellis Morgan III of Jackson, and Abbey Morgan of Starkville; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Ellis Cocilova and Delaney Mangum; brother, Jimmie Kitrell (Mary Helen) of Cleveland; sisters, Jessie Dean Grant of Ruleville, Frances Sheffield (Allen) of Burleson, TN, Snookie Jones (Gene Paul ) of Kenton, TN, and Anna Earls (Ellis) of Merigold; sister-in-law, Mary Kathryn Kittrell of Merigold; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. In Memory of Mrs. Morgan, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
