Henry Samuel Esch, Jr.

Henry Samuel Esch, Jr., 78, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home. A second visitation will be 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015, with Rev. Brad Beckwith officiating. Mr. Esch was born in Memphis, TN, on February 4, 1937, to Henry Samuel Esch, Sr. and Grace Carroll Esch. On September 2, 1960, he married Miriam Litton in Boyle, MS. He worked at Kossman's and Planter's Equipment before opening his own business, Cleveland Truck Repair, in the 1970's where he worked on farm equipment and 18 wheelers. After many years, he retired to his home where he continued to work and tinker on things. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cleveland where he served as an Usher and a Greeter.
He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW, as well as a Gideon, Mason, and retired Volunteer Firefighter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Samuel Esch, Sr. and Grace Carroll Esch; and wife, Miriam Litton Esch. Mr. Esch is survived by his son, Sammy Esch (Sonia) of Cleveland; daughter, Michelle Williamson (Bobby) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Courtney and Cannon Esch, Brandon and Trey Williamson, and Tara and Richie Boren; great-granddaughter, Emerson Allen; brothers, Gene Esch (Mary) of McComb, Carroll Esch (Shelia) of Kentwood, LA, Jimmy Esch (Arnell) of Zachary, LA, and Danny Esch (Anita) of Kentwood, LA; brother-in-laws, Jerry L. Litton of Jackson, MS and Fred A. Litton of Clarksdale, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Pallbearers will be Brandon Williamson, Trey Williamson, Cannon Esch, Richie Boren, Chris Hays, and Junior Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be the First Baptist Church Dr. Patterson's Sunday School Class.
