Mr. JC Morris, 78, of Cleveland, MS passed away December 27, 2010, at Bolivar Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Hill officiating. Burial will follow at North Cleveland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010.
Mr. Morris was born in Harrisburg, AR, September 8, 1932 to Leslie and Nellie Morris. He married Barbara Coleman October 20, 1952. He worked for over 40 years as the meat manager at Kroger and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Morris was a life long Baptist who loved the Cleveland Fire Department and served for many years until retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Morris of Cleveland, MS; son, Terry Morris (Christi) of Cleveland, MS; daughter, Vicki Braswell (Chris) of Cleveland, MS; and grandchildren, Jessica Morris, Meredith Morris, and Tori Braswell.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Hill, Louis Jackson, Ken Mullins, Eddie Coleman, Taylor Burrell, Joe Eskridge, and Billy Perry.
