Jan was born May 18, 1949 to Sam and Myrtle Wright in Monroe, LA. He served in the United States Marine Core during the Vietnam Era. He was a truck driver for Common Carrier for nine years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Myrtle Watson. Jan is survived by his son, Jason Monk.
