Janie Mae Haire

Ms. Janie Mae Haire, 65, passed away on August 19, 2018, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Gentry officiating. Interment will be in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Janie was born on March 9, 1953, to Loyd and Mary Haire in Rome, MS. She was a member of the Pace Pentecostal Church, she loved attending the services and rarely missed a day. Janie enjoyed going to flea markets and playing crossword puzzles but her main passion was Bingo. Her bingo dauber even had glitter in it. When Cleveland closed the Bingo Hall, she was determined to make any trip to play with the help of her family and friends to get her the next game. Janie was a big Elvis Presley fan. She had every record and poster of his; her bedroom was filled full of Elvis memorabilia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd V. Haire and Mary Jean Haire.
Janie is survived by her siblings, Mary Alice Harrell (James) of Southaven, MS, Beckie McGaugh (Richard) of Greenville, MS, Carolyn Neatherly (Kenny) of Robertsdale, AL, John Vernon Haire of Clarksdale, MS, Ricky Haire of Shaw, MS, Loyd Haire of Clarksdale, MS, Floyd Hair of Clarksdale, MS, and Luther Haire (Barbie) of Greenville, MS; a special cousin and caregiver, Patricia Ann Gilbert (John) of Rosedale, MS; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Gilbert, Jr., Austin Gilbert, David Gilbert, Alton Gilbert, John Gilbert, Sr., and Richard McGaugh.
