It’s with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Mrs. Jimmie Lou Fioranelli, 99 yrs old. A longtime resident of Cleveland, MS, Jimmie Lou passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply.
A visitation honoring her life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 am at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Graveside services will take place afterward at New Cleveland Cemetery.
Jimmie Lou’s life was guided by a deep and abiding faith that shaped her character and directed her path throughout her years. She attended and graduated from Shelby High School. Known for her loving heart and incredible cooking—especially her famous spaghetti and meatballs—her kitchen was always filled with laughter, stories, and the warmth of togetherness. It was there that countless memories were made and shared.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted servant to her Lord and Savior, she was an active and beloved member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Jimmie Lou had a love for travel and proudly visited Italy four times, each trip deepening her appreciation for her heritage. Yet, her greatest joy was always her family—whether gathered around a crowded table, celebrating special occasions, or enjoying quiet moments together by the pool. Her home was a place of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. She was truly the heart of her family, and her legacy will live on through the countless stories, lessons, laughter, and love she leaves behind.
Jimmie is preceded in passing by her parents, Angelo & Rosa Pandolfi Balducci, her loving husband over 60 years, Armand Fioranelli, Son, Michael Ray Fioranelli, brothers, Abraham Balducci, Joe Balducci, Adam Balducci, Robert Balducci, Paul Balducci, Angelo Balducci, Alex Balducci, Araldo Balducci, sisters, Fallie Belenchia, Nellie Sacco, and infant daughter of Michael Fioranelli & Tresa Fioranelli.
She is survived by her loving son, Daniel ( Shirley) Fioranelli of Collierville, TN., grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tricia) Fioranelli of Clevland, MS., John Fioranelli of Collierville, TN, Joseph (Mason) Fioranelli of Cleveland, MS, Jessica (Nick) Yatsula of Collierville, TN, Philip (Laura Beth) Fioranelli of Oxford, MS, Jenna (Bryant) Reid of Hernando, MS, great grandchildren, Ella Fioranelli, Mary Michael Fioranelli, Caroline Fioranelli, Kate Fioranelli, Jamey Scheider, John Daniel Yatsula, Powell Fioranelli, Georgia Fioranelli, Luca Scheider, Stella Reid, Elizabeth Yatsula, and Hugh Reid, siblings, Eva Grattafori of Clarksdale, MS, brothers, Tony Balducci of Clarksdale, MS, and Delmo Balducci of Biloxi, MS.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Ruth Hedgwood and Carolyn Williams for being with Jimmie Lou during the last years of her life and for the exceptional love and care they provided. Special thanks are also extended to the doctors and nurses at Bolivar Medical Center – Long-term care for caring for her over the past year and for treating her with compassion, dignity, and loving care.
In Lieu of Flowers the family wishes all donations be made to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.
