Jimmy Jones

Mr. Jimmy Lee Jones, 78, of Boyle, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Haney and Bro. Lee Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Lehrton Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born in Cleveland, MS on July 4, 1937, to Wayne Alliston Jones and Ora Ophelia Jones. On January 14, 1960, he married Lillie Joyce Mitchell in Pace, MS. He worked as a farm manager for many years. He was a man of few words but in his free time he enjoyed going to McDonald's & drinking coffee with his friends, gardening, running the roads, and loved spending time with his family. He was a faithful member of Interstate Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne & Ora Jones; wife, Lillie Joyce Mitchell Jones; brothers, Sonny & Roger Jones; grandson Brandon Jones; Mr. Jones is survived by his children, Kenny Jones of Cleveland, Cherry Powell (Larry) of Shaw, and Sherman "Knottie" Jones (Cindy) of Monroe, LA; brother; Charles (Juanita) Jones; sisters; Barbara Ann Palmer and Carolyn (Darrell) Taylor; grandchildren, Matthew Jones (Lauren), Darby Jones, Nat Jones and Stephanie Fleming all of Cleveland, Steven "Morgan" Tindle of Merigold, and Bethany Chritchlow (Hans) of Monroe, LA; great-grandchildren, Camille Jones, Levi Thomas Jones, Peyton Fleming, Brynlee Hicks, Jaxon Tindle, Benjamin Cole Chritchlow, and Carlee Claire Chritchlow. Pallbearers will be Skeeter Bowen, Morgan Tindle, Hans Chritchlow, Josh Edward, Lamar Andrews, and Paul Carter.
