Jimmy McHardy

James "Jimmy" Francis McHardy, 73 of Malvina Mississippi passed away Monday July 12, 2021 after a battle with cancer. A visitation will be held at Ray Funeral home Friday July 16 at 9:30 with a service to follow at 10:30. Jimmy was born on June 3 1948 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late Dr.William Cunningham McHardy Jr. and Claire (Michie) McHardy. From working river tows to farming the Deltas rich soil to dive bombing golfers @ Rosedale CC in his ultralite, he literally did it all. His journey to be with his mom, dad and dear brother Bill began late Monday afternoon. He loved as he was loved, hard, fast and true. And it didn't matter if you were human or animal, same love. Grandpa Jimmy, Uncle Jimmy, Unc, Jimmy Mac, Pops, Jim, old man, Jimmy, Dad. He answered to them all and was deeply loved by those calling. Grief is the price of love, and worth every bit of it. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kris McHardy. His sons Nathan McHardy (Lesley) of Jackson, Dylan McHardy of Missouri and Nicole Roost (Brad) of Wisconsin. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Lottie McHardy, Amelia Roost, Broderick Roost, Cody McHardy and Sally McHardy. He is also survived by his sisters Michie McHardy Bissell and Mary Claire Dean and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter or animal charity in your area.
