Joel Michael Kovarcik

Joel Michael Kovarcik, 31, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 26, 2021.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following.  Interment will be at Delta Heights in Cleveland, MS.  Joel was born December 13, 1990 to Kenneth and Diane Kovarcik in Cleveland, MS.  He attended school at Cleveland High School and graduated from Bayou Academy.  Joel was on the Bayou Academy baseball, football, & basketball team.  He received an associate degree in drafting & design from Mississippi Delta Community College.  Joel worked at several engineering firms.  Joel and his father were referees for many years. Joel loved spending time with his nephew Cole.  He was an avid golfer & video gamer.  Joel loved Ole Miss especially football.  He was the life of the party.  Joel just knew how to make you smile.  He was a light in a dark place and will be missed.  He is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Kovarcik; grandparents, Paul & Georgia Kovarcik; grandparents, Joe & Joy Cole.   Joel is survived by his mother, Diane Kovarcik; sister, Heather Kovarcik Miller (Marc); nephew, Cole Miller; aunts, Debra Cole of Nashville, TN and Paula Kovarcik Roberts (Kendall) of Cleveland, MS; uncles, Charlie Kovarcik and Donnie Kovarcik both of Cleveland, MS; cousins, Joey Kovarcik (Melissa) and their son Pearce of Chatham, MS, Kelsey Spradling (Colby) and their son Thompson of Cleveland, MS, and Georgia Jones (Nic) and their daughter Kennedy of Monroe, LA.
