John Reynolds

Mr. John William "J.W." Reynolds, 87, of Cleveland, MS, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. Visitation will be at Ray Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011. Celebration of life service will be Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Ken Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow services in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds was born to George Milligan Reynolds and Arvie Bell Reynolds on October 17, 1923 in Satillo, MS. He married Ercille Ray on February 23, 1951 in Cleveland, MS. Mr. Reynolds was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland.
Mr. Reynolds is preceded in death by his wife, Ercille Ray Reynolds.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Deweese (Larry) of Oxford, MS; granddaughter, Cara Deweese Shroyer (Marc) of Cumming, GA; grandsons, Clay Deweese (Katie) of Oxford, MS, and Chad Deweese of Atlanta, GA; three great- grandchildren, John Charles Shroyer, Mary Reynolds Shroyer, and Rhett William Deweese sister, Betty LaMastus of West Memphis, AR; five nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Bertha Steward.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
