Julie Mei

Mrs. Julie Ann Daugherty Mei, 62 of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with her Lord on June 15, 2020 in Cleveland, MS. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. Rosary and funeral Mass to follow at St Francis-Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw, MS.
She was born March 2, 1958 in Benoit, MS to Lonnie Wayne and Mamie Lee Daugherty. Julie married Jimmy Mei on March 1, 1979 in Cleveland, MS. She worked at Paul's Mart in Cleveland for over 20 years. Julie enjoyed spending time outdoors, she liked hunting, fishing, and playing with her dogs, especially their young puppy, Randell. She loved spending time with her daughter Jami and granddaughter Austynn. Julie is preceded in passing by her father, Lonnie Wayne Daugherty; mother, Mamie Lee Daugherty Adams; and stepfather, W.E. Bill Adams. She is survived by husband, Jimmy Mei; daughter, Jami Mei (Evette); granddaughter, Austynn Mei; sisters, Linda Adams Hiter (Park), Sandy Adams; sister-in-laws, Rose Ann Flemmons (Don), Patricia Mei Small (Stewart), Mary Jo Lofton (Butch), Charlotte Mei Litton (Earl); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Francis-Assisi Catholic Church, P.O. Box 239, Shaw, MS 38773, St. Jude Children Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
