In honor of Karen's life, a visitation will be held at Restoration Church on November 18, 2023, starting at 10:00 am. It will be a time for family and friends to share memories, offer support, and celebrate the vibrant spirit that Karen brought into the world. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am, allowing us to collectively pay our respects and bid a heartfelt farewell to this extraordinary woman.

Karen was born on July 26, 1962, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Karen touched the lives of many throughout her 61 years of life. She peacefully departed from this world on November 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Greenville, Mississippi, due to natural causes.

An accomplished professional, Karen found fulfillment as a manager in the Tower Loans industry. Her dedication to her work was evident in the respect and admiration she garnered from colleagues and clients alike. Her commitment to excellence and unwavering work ethic made her an invaluable asset to her organization.

Karen's legacy extends beyond her professional life. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Jimmy Smith Jr., and a nurturing mother to their four sons, Jae Smith, Jimbo Smith, Tommy Smith, and Frankie Smith; grandchildren, Bellani Smith, Liam Smith, Eliana Smith, Scott Smith, Sophia Smith, Harley Smith, Sarah Smith, Jessica Smith, Franklin Smith, Laiden Rivers, and Amelia Smith.  She is preceded by her parents, Howard and Lucille Minchew; brothers, Charles, David, and Johnny Minchew; sister, Sharon Caron; and stepson, Scottie Smith.  Karen embraced each day with an infectious joy and a profound love for her family, consistently placing their well-being above all else. Her wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love will forever shape the lives of her children, and her memory will provide them with strength in the days to come.

Though Karen has departed from our physical realm, her spirit will live on forever through the love she shared, the memories she left behind, and the profound impact she had on the lives of those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

Karen Faye Smith will be deeply missed, but her legacy of compassion, strength, and warmth will forever inspire all who knew her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her family find solace in the cherished memories they shared.
