Kenneth Clayton "Casey" Taylor, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, surrounded by family at his home. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.  Friday, August 24, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Brother Robert Haney and Brother Al Cummins officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery.
Casey was born on March 28, 1948, to Albert Franklin "John" Taylor, Jr. and Olma Lee Taylor in Shaw, MS. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he married Anne Horne in Roundaway on July 2, 1971. Casey spent his days in the fields as a farmer for 44 years before retiring; one of his favorite things to do at work was move dirt. He was a member of the Benoit Union Church where he sang in the choir for many years before joining Southside Baptist Church. Casey enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, cheering on MSU Bulldogs, taking naps in his recliner, and being outside. From mowing the grass to picking up sticks, Casey loved any time spent outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Olma Lee Taylor; and brother, Myron Taylor.
Casey is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Horne Taylor of Benoit; sons, Kenneth Taylor, Jr. (Meredith) of Benoit and Michael Taylor (April) of Benoit; daughter, Brittany Morris (Michael) of Drew; grandchildren, Shelby Kate Taylor of Benoit, Bryan Taylor of Benoit, Clay Taylor of Benoit, John Carson Taylor of Benoit, Michael Morris of Drew, Lena Morris of Drew, and Layla Brooke Morris of Drew; brother, Danny Taylor of Florida; sisters, Nelda Barlow (Marvin) of Clinton, Bonnie Greer of Brandon, and Geneva Taylor of Cleveland; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Taylor, Clay Taylor, Kenny Dees, Larry Brown, Bobby Horne, Timmy Horne, Johnny Horne, and Bruce Fullen. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin "Pee Wee" Fulwood and Allen Edwards.
In memory of Mr. Taylor, the family asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
