Linda Eaves Scott

Linda Eaves Scott, 72, of Rosedale, MS, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019, at her home. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Harris officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Saltillo, MS.
Linda was born on September 13, 1947, to Lamar and Nova Eaves in Macon, MS. On March 16, 1974, she married George Winfield Scott, Jr. in Rosedale, MS. Linda was a teacher for over 50 years. Her passions were to bake, travel with her kids and grandkids, and to decorate  for the holidays especially Christmas time. Linda was a faithful Christian, who loved worshiping in her church and with her church family at First Baptist Church in Rosedale, MS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Nova Eaves; sister, Ann McLelland; and grandson, Everett Winfield Scott.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband, George Scott; children, Meredith Scott Philley (Tyler) and Winn Scott (Ashley); brother-in-law, Max McLelland; nephew, Hank McLelland; and grandchildren, Anna Scott Philley, Reese Scott, Jackson Philley, Emerson Scott, and Crosby Scott.
Pallbearers will be Chad Travis, William Vaughn, Ricky Courtney, Stewart Salley, John Tweedle, and Ward Gilbert.
The Family has requested  all Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital, St. Jude, or the Gideons International.
