Linda Eileen Sims Stafford, 70, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Baptist Healthcare Center in North Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Linda was the daughter of Louella Burns Sims Williams, and the late Hubert M. Sims of Cleveland. She was born on May 15, 1948, in Cleveland. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and graduated in 1967. After graduation she attended Mississippi Delta Community College at Moorhead. She was employed 26 years by the state of Arkansas with the Department of Human Services. She worked from 1988 until 2015 when she retired. She married Ray Stafford in North Little Rock on January 11, 2003, at Calvary Baptist Church. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith in Arkansas. She enjoyed working in the yard and growing pretty flowers as well as going to the casino to try her luck. She loved going on cruises with Ray and relaxing. She enjoyed the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune and was actually pretty good at them. She enjoyed her TV Shows, "Days of our Lives," "Bold and The Beautiful," "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Price is Right." She also enjoyed "Kids say the Darnedest Things," because it made her laugh. She also enjoyed cultivating trees and planting them. She enjoyed doing things for her children and family. She lived away from Mississippi most of her adult life but always enjoyed her many trips home to see family and friends. She enjoyed her high school class reunions because she got to see so many friends she normally could not see.
She leaves her husband Ray; son Chris Farlow of North Little Rock, AR; daughter Erin Venable (Jeff Stinson) of Little Rock, AR' mother, Louella Sims Williams of Cleveland; brother Hubert M. Sims (Lupe) of Orofino, ID; two sisters Patty Sims Haynes (Tommy) and Susan Sims McCreary, all of Cleveland. She also leaves her fur baby and companion Lucy.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Haynes Jr., Darryl McCreary, Ryan Moon, Jack Haynes, and Keith Luna.
