Linda Faye Runnels

Linda Runnels, 76, passed away on May 18, 2023, at her daughter's home in Hernando, MS surrounded by her loved ones.

Linda Runnels was born on April 21, 1947, in Rosedale, MS, to Auburn Medders, Sr and Emma Couey Medders.

Linda graduated from Rosedale High School in 1966 and went on to earn her cosmetology license. She started her career as a Cosmetologist and retired after 38 years from Mane Attraction Beauty Salon that she co-owned with one of her best friends, Joy Hopkins.

Linda married Thomas Runnels on April 9, 1979, in Cleveland, MS. Together, along with their children, they created a large loving family. The couple had four children, Kim Arbuckle Ennis, John C Arbuckle, Jr, Kenny Runnels, and Jennifer Runnels Lloyd.

Those that loved Linda knew that her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. All of her grandkids fondly remember stories of summer days spent in the swimming pool with her, many days spent spinning in the salon chairs at the beauty shop, and long weekends spending the night with Mamaw and Papaw and waking up to her cooking the biggest breakfast every time and of course all the adventures in her big white Expedition with her loud music...IYKYK!

Linda is survived by her children, daughter, Kim Arbuckle Ennis (James) of Hernando, MS , son, John C Arbuckle, Jr (Rhonda) of Rison, AR, son, Kenny Runnels (Kim) and daughter, Jennifer Runnels Lloyd (Tim) both of Cleveland, MS. Linda is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces who are all still claiming to be her "favorite".

Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Thomas Runnels, her parents Auburn Medders, Sr, and Emma Medders, and one brother Auburn Medders, Jr.
