Linnie Lea Farmer

Mrs. Linnie Lea Farmer, 79, of Shelby, MS, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Shelby Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m.  on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Haney officiating. Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery.
Linnie was born on March 29, 1939, to Odell and Irene Newman in Malvina, MS. On September 29, 1960, she married Timothy McClain Farmer at Trinity Baptist Church in Rosedale, MS. She worked for 35 years for Ampco Products until retirement. Linnie's favorite thing to do was fish with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy McClain Farmer, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Farmer; grandson, Lynn Boyd Farmer, Jr.; brothers, Gerald Newman, Robert Newman, and Earl Newman; and sisters, Mavis Mize and Martha Ray Ladner.
Linnie is survived by her children, Penny Lea Hamilton (Mark) of Shaw, Lynn Boyd Farmer, Sr.  (Becky) of Ruleville, Timothy McClain Farmer, Jr. of Cleveland, and Darlene Couchman  (Dale) of Mustang, OK; grandchildren, Timothy McClain Farmer, III of Fultondale, AL, Caitlyn Farmer of Fultondale, AL, Matthew Hamilton  (Rebecca) of Shaw, Jamie Hamilton of Shaw, D.J. Couchman of Mustang, OK, Dakota Couchman of Mustang, OK, Cyndi Martyn (Andrew) of Cleveland, Magen Farmer of Ruleville, Cathy McDonald of Cleveland, Kristen Britt(Josh) of Clarksdale, Ashley Mersereau of Greenwood, and Emily Mersereau of Sumner, MS; great grandchildren, Abby Grace Hamilton of Cleveland, Alex Braden Hamilton of Cleveland, Dawson Lee Martyn of Cleveland, Caden Alen Faurote of Greenville, Nicholas Shane McDonald of Cleveland, Mason Mersereau of Greenwood, and Landon Britt of Clarksdale; and siblings, Lorene Bizzle of Dublin, MS, Doris Goodell (Lesley), and Ruthie Victorino of Cleveland.
Pallbearers will be Timothy McClain Farmer, III, Matthew Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Andrew Martyn, and Alex Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Caden Faurote, Dawson Martyn, Nicholas McDonald, and Jack Griffin.
