Lorene Lofton

Ida "Lorene" Lofton was called home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2021. A visitation will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, at Ray Funeral Home from 10-11am with a celebration of life service at 11:00am at Ray Funeral Home. Grave side service will follow in the Shaw Cemetery. Ida "Lorene" Lofton was born on June 26, 1932, to Charlie Earl and Inez Malone Rankin in Rosedale Mississippi. She was the second born of three girls. She met Bryant Lofton at a dance in Benoit, Mississippi and they were married on June 24, 1949. Together, they raised a family of three boys in Shaw, Mississippi. She loved animals, especially her Boston Terrier, Baby. Lorene worked at Baxter, Jay's Dept. Store and NAPA until retiring. She was a member of Shaw Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Butch Lofton (Mary Jo) of Boyle, MS, Danny Lofton (Cindi) of Shaw, MS, and Shawn Lofton (Micki) of Mountain Home, AR. She leaves 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and by her sisters, Marvell Hoffman and Modean Bennett. Pallbearers, Scott Lofton, Nick Lofton, Brian Lofton, Mike Lofton, Marcie Mullins, and Todd Bowman.
