Louis Dexter Lindsey

Louis Dexter Lindsey, 81, also known as Dexter Lindsey passed away October 13, 2023, at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.

He was married to Josephine P. Lindsey for 54 years and they had one daughter Lisa A. Lindsey of Cleveland, MS. He had three grandchildren Dolores A. Moncada (Jose Carmelo Moncada) of Cleveland, MS., Monica Torres of Kansas City, John Torres of Cleveland, MS. Stephanie Ricks of Brandon, MS. He had four great grandchildren Gracie Nicole Moncada, Nathalia Moncada, Hazel Moncada, and Ivan Moncada (Dolores & Jose Carmelo Moncada parents) all of Cleveland, MS.

Dexter worked the majority of his life in the farming industry. He worked at Zumbo's, Rizzo's and Prewitt Farms was his last farming before retirement.  After his retirement, he loved watching tractors working in the fields.   As the years went by, he loved going to Walmart to have his coffee and biscuits with his friends. Then when Walmart built a McDonald’s on the inside that really made him happy because he not only got to visit with his friends, but he met so many other people and even the employees of Walmart.  Once people got to know him they found a genuine good-hearted man who loved to talk and help as well.
