Lovie Mitchell

Lovie Mae J. Mitchell, 105, of Olive Branch, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at her residence in Olive Branch. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Ray Funeral Home with Reverend Riley Walker officiating. Interment will be in North Cleveland Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Mississippi on July 20, 1910 to Benjamin Milton Jeffcoat and Carrie Mae Jeffcoat. She married Silas Mitchell. She retired from Lowry Tims as a bookkeeper.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Milton Jeffcoat and Carrie Mae Jeffcoat; husband, Silas Mitchell; son, Sammy Mitchell; sisters, Ulmar Walker Calcote, Thellman Shown, Eulalah Watson, Margarette Sather; brothers, John Houston Jeffcoat, and Othello Jeffcoat.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by brother, Walto Jeffcoat of Ozark, Arkansas; grandson, Sammy Mitchell Jr. of Collierville, Tennessee; nephews, Morris Walker (Edna) of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Riley Walker of Indiana; and three great grandchildren.
