Mrs. Lucille Marie Weeks 92, of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Lucille was born on January 22, 1928 in Bolivar County to the late Mr. Charlie Cotton & Hettie Brown Cotton. Lucille grew up and was raised in the Mississippi Delta where she attended school. She met the love of her life Walter Howard Weeks and was married to him for over 75 years until his passing. Lucille volunteered at the local school from time to time. Yet most of the time she was a full-time home maker who helped raise her children, grandchildren and great - grandchildren. She was best known for her canning and cooking, and she had quite the green thumb when it came to her garden. Most of all Lucille knew how to love her family. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother & great grand anyone could ever know. To know Lucille was to love her. She is preceded in passing of her loving husband Walter Howard Weeks, and her parents, Charlie Cotton & Hettie Brown Cotton. She is survived by her loving children, Wilma Weeks Strait (James) of Cleveland, MS., Doris Weeks Wolfe (Gary) of Lafayette, LA, Linda Weeks Ivy (Tom) of Texas, Horace Howard Weeks (Debbie) of Drew, MS., Grandchildren, Richard Kimbell (Christy) Mark Kimbell(Misha), Tom Wolfe (Amy) Connie Howell, Tracy Price, Michael Larson, Marion Weeks Abide(Andy), Grant Weeks(Casie), Heather Marie Williams, and a host of loving great-grandchildren, one brother, and two sisters. Brother Haney will officiate the service.
