Lynnelle Funchess

Lynnelle Mayatte Funchess, 81 went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in Cleveland, MS. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Old Cleveland Cemetery. 

Lynnelle was born on October 28, 1941, in Meridian, MS, to Otha Arnell and Lasca Arlette Mayatte. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1959 and Delta State in 1963. Lynnelle married Percy "Noel" Funchess Jr. in Cleveland. She was always looking to help others. Lynnelle never met a stranger and was so kind to everyone. Her smile was contagious. She worked at Cleveland State Bank until her retirement when she and Noel opened the Dollar Emporium in downtown Cleveland.

Lynnelle is preceded in death by her husband, Percy "Noel" Funchess Jr.; parents, Otha Mayatte and Lasca Mayatte.
Lynnelle is survived by her children, James "Jimbo" Gerald, Cynthia Rocconi, Percy Funchess (Madeha), Sam Funchess (Lisa), and Ashley Nickell McNutt (Matt); grandchildren, Marie Rocconi Ware (Brian), Cortnie Rocconi, Kelsie Rocconi Shing (Alex), Dakota Funchess, Jordan Funchess (Julie), Christopher Funchess, Zachary Funchess, Sam Funchess Jr., Avritt Thames McNutt, Joseph Kash McNutt; great grandchildren, Ethan Brannen Ware, Ava Cambree Ware, Hayden Emerson Ware, Nellie Ann Rocconi, and Ivie Eileen Rocconi; brother, Billy Thames Mayatte (Janiece).

The pallbearers will be Brian Ware, Alex Shing, Jody Rocconi, Peter Rocconi, David Griffith, Will Griffith.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Florida Sisters Bridge Club.
