Mrs. Margaret Fay Garrett Moore, 75, of Ridgeland, MS, former of Cleveland, MS, passed away at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, MS Sunday, January 2, 2011. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cleveland at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Tommy Arrinder officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home from 5:00- 7:00 p.m.and at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. visitation the day of the funeral at Immanueal Baptist Church . Burial will follow the funeral service in Shelby Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was born in Waxhaw, MS on April 6, 1935 to William Guy Garrett and Earnest M. Garrett. She married Bobby Moore August 12, 1956 in Fort Smith, AR. Mrs. Moore enjoyed being a school teacher for 28 and a half years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Earnest Garrett; and her husband, Bobby Moore.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her son, Carl G. Moore (Tracie) of Greenville, MS; daughters, Bobbie Fay Lea (Coney) of Brookhaven, MS and Lisa Ann Davidson (Bob) of Jackson, MS; brother, Richard Garrett of Benoit, MS; aunt, Ruth Riddle of Pocahontas, AR; grandchildren, Brandon C. Moore (Anita), Toni L. Moore, Alex M. Lea, Macey E. Lea, and Forrest L. Davidson.
Pallbearers will be Joe Riddle, James Riddle, Mitch Moore, Ricky Garrett, Jeff Gordon, and Richard Boggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Carter, Rick McCollough, Jim Boggs, Vern Daniels, David Gladden, and Pat Stevens.
