Marie Chudy

Mrs. Marie Chudy, 86, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on May 6, 2017. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin immediately after at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Our Ladies of Victories with Father Kent Bowlds officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Marie was born on July 13, 1930, to John Pyrtle and Bertha Felts Pyrtle in Arkansas. On March 1, 1949, she married Wendel Joseph Chudy in Slovak, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Pyrtle; husband, Wendel Joseph Chudy; and son, Chuck Chudy.
Mrs. Chudy is survived by her daughter, Brenda Woods (Jerry) of Cleveland, MS; son, Mike Chudy (Kay) of Madison, MS; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chip Chudy, Stephen Chudy, John Michael Chudy, Jason Woods, Justin Woods, and Frank Michael.
In lieu, of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
