Marjorie Ann Powell

Marjorie Ann Powell was born on November 13, 1946 and passed away on November 20, 2025 at the age of 79.

Memorial Graveside services will be in the Linn Methodist Church Cemetery, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00AM

She was a life-long resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and Metairie, Louisiana. Ann served courageously on the New Orleans Police Force for over 20 years. Her unwavering love for the city was evident over the many years she served on the force.  Ann leaves behind her daughter, Danna Powell Cousins (Craig); grandchildren, Elizabeth Cousins Clapp (William) and Benjamin Cousins; great-grandchildren, Olivia Clapp and Cooper Clapp; a brother, Robert Leonard Powell Sr.; nieces, Lacey Powell Schick (Joshua John Schick Sr.) and Lindsey Powell Naquin (Tyler Blaize Naquin). She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Earl Powell and Marjorie Houston Powell and a nephew, Robert Leonard Powell Jr. Ann was employed for 20 years before retiring from the New Orleans Police Department.

Special gratitude to Ochsner Foundation Hospital, more specifically the Emergency Room, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, and the Palliative Care Unit who provided exceptional care in her final days.
