Mary Francis (Calvert) Hannon, 92, of Pearl, MS passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. with A Celebration of Life service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the New Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, MS following the service. Mary Francis was born January 16, 1927 in Boyle, MS to Eulie Edward Calvert and Lorena Maybell (Barnes) Calvert. She attended Boyle High School. Mary worked as an operator for Southern Bell for over 37 years prior to retiring in Pearl, MS. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. She also enjoyed visiting and talking with family and friends, particularly her friend of many years, Nancy Petty. Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Eulie and Lorena Calvert; spouses, WA Burton and Ted Hannon; brother L E "Buddy" Calvert; sister, Audrey Mae "Judy" Hooper; grandnephew, William Travis Calvert.
She is survived by her nephews, Fred "Butch" Hooper, Frank Hooper, and Louie Calvert; niece, Sybil Chase; sister-in-law, Joyce Palmer. She is also survived by 12 grand nieces and nephews and 16 great-grand nieces and nephews.
