Mary Louise Cintgran

Ms. Mary Louise Cintgran, 91, of Gunnison, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Mississippi Care Center in Greenville. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland. Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Father Kent Bowlds officiating. Interment will be in Shelby Cemetery. Ms. Cintgran was born in Gunnison, MS, on November 24, 1924, to Joe Cintgran and Mary Tuminello Cintgran. She graduated from Gunnison Consolidated High School and went on to work as a bookkeeper at Union Compress Warehouse Inc. for 37 years until she retired in 1985. Ms. Cintgran was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rosedale where she was the secretary on the parish council, decorator of the church, was a member of Ladies Sodality, and served as Sacristan for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Cintgran and Mary Tuminello Cintgran; brother, Tony Cintgran; sisters, Mary Grace Cintgran, Annie Cintgran Cooper, and Joe Catherine Cintgran; and two nephews, Christopher Cintgran and David Cooper. Ms. Cintgran is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Cintgran; two nieces, Annette Cintgran Higgs and Theresa Cintgran; and two nephews, Bill Cooper and Bobby Cooper.
